Applicants must provide his/her own accompanist. Three copies of the music must be provided for the judges.


Winner will perform one or more movements of a concerto with the New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving on Sunday, February 10, 2019 and receive a $500 prize.


Contestants must meet one of the following requirements:
1. Reside in Irving
2. Attend an Irving school


Applicants must perform one or more movements of a concerto from the recommended repertoire list. Applicants who wish to perform a concerto not on the list must choose a piece with orchestral accompaniment available and receive approval from the conductor of the NPOI prior to the application deadline. Three copies of the music must be provided for the judges.


Fees and applications:
The competition entry fee is $20.00 and cannot be refunded in the case of withdrawal from the contest. Applications addressed to the NPOI and fee must be received by December 17, 2018, at the Irving Arts Center, 3333 North MacArthur Blvd, Irving, TX 75062.
